The end of the year is always a hectic time, with all of the food that has to be eaten and shopping that has to get done. But in order to start the new year off on the right foot, I suggest doing (or at least consider) the 13 action steps discussed in this article. The action items include reviewing your credit history, clearing out clutter, increasing contributions to retirement accounts, improving your budget, changing important passwords, and making or updating a will. Combined, they will help reduce stress, reduce taxes, and better prepare you for whatever the new year has in store. So take time out of the chaos and provide some order and clarity to your life… it may just be one of the best things you do this holiday season.
